BCLO VISION STATEMENT

Our vision is a spiritually focused, Christ-directed, and innovative African Methodist Episcopal Church in which the BCLO plays an integral role in the ministries of the Baltimore Conference to promote holistic leadership in guiding the people to the Abundant Life.

BCLO MISSION STATEMENT

The BCLO is the premier source for advancing lay ministries by developing and training lay servant leaders; transforming our founding legacy of spiritual fortitude, liberation, self-determination, and economic empowerment into action.  The BCLO's overarching intent is to transition the Conference Lay Organization and its constitution membership from a primarily teaching and training organization to a high impact, action-oriented, and evangelistic ministry based on Christian principles.

BCLO PURPOSE

The purpose of the Lay Organization is to organize and educate members of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, so that each member may utilize, to the maximum, the abilities and skills granted by God in assisting with the improvement and extension of God's kingdom, and creating happiness, peace and harmony among its members.

BCLO OBJECTIVES

To create a love and appreciation of the History and Principles of African Methodism
To keep the memory of Richard Allen alive
To respect Constituted Authority
To stimulate and educate the Laity in the total program of the Church
To study the Discipline and learn the laws of the Church
To encourage financial support of the Church's program
To teach and practice Stewardship and work with the Youth to teach them Methodism
